The final week of classes is here! This week brings our last Karakia for the year, led by our third-year Pastoral Leadership students, and our final community lunch — two great opportunities to gather, connect and give thanks for the year so far. After that, we head into two weeks of Study and Reading Weeks before the end of semester. In this week’s newsletter, you’ll also find an important reminder about the final assessment deadline, information about discussing your study options for 2027 with Neroli, and an update on Final-year Fees Free. All the best for the final stretch of classes! |
Final Assessment DeadlineA reminder that the end-of-semester deadline for final assessments is Friday 6 November. If you’re finding the deadline challenging, please get in touch with Neroli as soon as possible to discuss your situation. You can also reach out to the Student Support team if you need some extra support as you finish the semester. Thinking About Studying in 2027?Whether you’re returning to Carey in 2027 or considering starting a new programme, now is a great time to get in touch with Neroli to discuss your study options, courses and next steps. Final-year Fees Free: Important UpdateThe Government has confirmed that final-year Fees Free will end on 31 December 2026. Eligibility is based on when you complete your qualification, not when you enrolled. If you complete an eligible qualification in 2026, you can still apply for Fees Free within 12 months of completing your studies. However, students who complete their qualification in 2027 or later will not be eligible. For more information about eligibility and how to apply, visit Fees Free – Inland Revenue. |
