We invite you to come along to our Tuesday community day 11th August 11:15am and reflect anew on the ways each of us is being invited to be part of God's mission. Together with Arotahi join us for a delicious intercultural lunch, a beautiful karakia-chapel service, and peaceful reflective 'story spots'.

Also, on Monday 12:00pm at the wharekai we will have a short chat on discernment with Emma Stokes and Annie Youssif from Arotahi with coffee & cake ☕

Come Talk Theology and AI

Hi everyone, Pope Leo XIV has just published the first encyclical of his papacy, Magnifica Humanitas, or “On Safeguarding the Human Person in the Time of Artificial Intelligence.” Such encyclicals form the foundation for what is known as Catholic Social Teaching (CST), a “body of thought on social issues that has been developed” by the Catholic church “over the past hundred years.” While perhaps nobody on this list is Roman  Catholic, I consider CST to be an incredibly thoughtful, helpful resource for thinking about how the good news about Jesus lands in our world today (check out the 9 core principles above).

Jonathan and Michael want to read the encyclical and talk about it, and they’re inviting all of you to join them!
