One of the most important parts of the Pastoral Care Code of Practice is student voice. That's why we run surveys, focus groups, gather feedback, share key themes, and let you know what actions we're taking. Your feedback helps us improve the Carey experience for everyone. Come Talk Theology and AI

Hi everyone, Pope Leo XIV has just published the first encyclical of his papacy, Magnifica Humanitas, or “On Safeguarding the Human Person in the Time of Artificial Intelligence.” Such encyclicals form the foundation for what is known as Catholic Social Teaching (CST), a “body of thought on social issues that has been developed” by the Catholic church “over the past hundred years.” While perhaps nobody on this list is Roman  Catholic, I consider CST to be an incredibly thoughtful, helpful resource for thinking about how the good news about Jesus lands in our world today (check out the 9 core principles above).

Jonathan and Michael want to read the encyclical and talk about it, and they’re inviting all of you to join them!

The student support team are holding a workshop for the Mission of God assignment one. The team will cover:

• Breaking down the assessment task
• Providing a breakdown of the word count
• Highlighting how to write to the assessment marking rubric
• Provide a simple writing tool
• Answer any questions

The Ayson-Clifford Library is at the heart of student life at Carey, providing the resources, guidance, and support you need to succeed in your studies. Whether you're studying on campus or online, Siong Ng, our Library Manager and Student Support Director, is here to help with finding resources, referencing, research, assessment skills, and general study support.
