CAREY WEEKLY NEWSLETTER 2025 S1 WEEK 8

How’s things?

We are confident you are taking full advantage of the Study and Reading weeks and making great progress on your work for the semester. So, well done, and keep up the good work. As a reminder, no regular on-site courses take place until week 10, which begins Monday, 5 May.

Happy ANZAC Day!

Don’t forget Carey is closed for ANZAC Day, including the library. The library will also be closed Saturday, 26 April.

We’re still here to support you

If you are worried about getting your assessments done in time and would like to request an extension, please contact Neroli Hollis, and complete an Application for Extension form.

10 Essentials for Assignments

Don’t neglect the 10 Essentials, because they are awesome and probably contain answers to some of your questions. They have details on everything you could ever need—referencing, submitting assigments, footnotes, and more!

And, as always, if you need something, reach out to Student Support for anything at all.

No karakia or community lunch

There will be no karakia or community lunch next week. See you in week 10!

Catch up on all the recordings

On CareyOnline, you can listen to recordings from karakia.

The library

The library staff are around as normal (aside from holiday closures noted above), ready to assist you with anything you need. Flick them an email, give them a call (09 526 0347), or stop by the library. They are awesome!

Library Hours

Monday to Thursday: 8.30am to 6.30pm

Friday: 9am to 5pm

Saturday: 10am to 12.30pm

Carey Open Events

Carey is epic, and you know that. But, do your friends? If you can think of someone who would thrive here, why not invite them along to Open Day on 13 May or Online Open Evening on 28 May. Check out the details!
