So, we are looking forward to getting back to our normal schedule, and hopefully you are too. You've been hard at work, crushing those assessments, reading, and studying. Woo hoo! | |  | Psalms Conference Student Rates—save $50! | There are still some student-rate tickets for the Psalms conference, but not many! Come along to our Psalms Conference, a three-day participatory event in July, and explore how the Bible’s songbook and prayerbook can inspire Christian worship and shape God’s people here in Aotearoa. There is also a one-day access ticket if you can’t make the whole conference. If you are on campus, we encourage you to spread a little Carey kindness to anyone attending.

If you don’t know Helen, she’s amazing, so you won’t want to miss it! 11.15am on Tuesday in the chapel. Karakia recordingsDon’t forget, we’ve got all the recordings from the first half of the semester, so check them out. | |  | Carey Alumni Reunion | We mentioned the reunion for those who studied at Carey during the 1970s? Former Carey students will be getting together, and it’s happening this weekend! What’s really cool is that next Monday, 6 May, these past alumni have been invited to join in the first half of lectures on-site. Also, they are joining for lunch with current students. So, if you are on-site Monday, 6 May, instead of Coffee, Cake, and Convo at 12.15, we will be having a free shared lunch with the 1970s Reunion crew. It’ll be a great time to meet some of them, hear their stories, and be encouraged by what God has done in their lives since they studied here. So, come along, welcome your extended Carey whānau, and enjoy a mean feed. | |  | Lunch(es)—that’s right, there’s two! | With the alumni reunion on Monday, we’re having a shared lunch of butter chicken with the 1970s folks! But, we are also having our Tuesday lunch as a Carey whānau, and it’s gonna be lasagna. What a week ahead! In case you missed it on your Facebook group, we’re shooting footage for a 30-second Baptist NZ app promo on Thursday, 9 May from 10.30am-12.30pm. We need volunteers for the ‘church notices scene’ and ‘after-church coffee scene’ we’re filming in the Carey chapel. Pretend to be at church, and get a $30 Prezzy card. There will be lots of downtime over the 2 hours for multitasking. If you can volunteer, please email me at charis@baptist.org.nz with your name, age, and gender.
