Welcome to new and returning students!

Semester One 2014 is now starting! We are really looking forward to having you as part of the Carey Community. We have been praying for you, and we are excited about what God has in store for you through and beyond your study with us.

Time to fill you in on some information that – hopefully – will be helpful as you settle down to study. The Handbooks noted (below) are all available through CareyOnline – click on the link in the toolbar on the right, and download for future reference!

2014 Student Handbook (for new students)

This is specifically for new students to Carey. In this handbook you will find general information about the college, key contact points, expectations around studying, and assessment submissions.

2014 CareyOnline Handbook

This handbook outlines how to access all your courses though our online learning system, CareyOnline. Due to an upgrade over the summer, returning students may

find that the course information is presented slightly differently, so please let us know if you experience any problems finding what you need.

Please log on to CareyOnline for all of your course information and materials. Apart from two courses (Early Church and World Religions) no printed course books will be provided this semester, so that all course materials are to be found through your course pages on CareyOnline.

2104 Community Formation Handbook
Community is important to us at Carey. We want all of our students to feel part of our wider Carey Community, so our Community Formation Handbook gives details of all community events for Semester One.  If you are a distance student, if you have an opportunity to join us onsite for a class or any of the special events, or ‘after dinner mint’ speakers, you are most welcome. We would love to see you!

2014 Library Guide

This guide will provide you with some good information about various aspects of our library system and the numerous databases that you have access to as a student.

So, welcome again, and we hope that the information we’ve provided is useful to you. However, if at any point you have any questions about anything to do with you being a student here at Carey, please don’t hesitate to contact us via the toll free number (0800 773 776) or make contact with Neroli Hollis (registrar@carey.ac.nz) or me (peter.hart@carey.ac.nz) via email and we can direct you to the best person for your query.

Thanks for being a part of Carey, and we look forward to sharing this journey with you!
