I trust the weekend has gone well for you all – with a bit of opportunity for rest in the midst of all the study and ministry. The highlight for me was the preparing of the vegetable garden for summer planting. The weeds have all gone, the soil is looking great, and the sheep pellets are in place. Nothing better – roll on daylight saving!

This Tuesday I am swapping for the day with Rod Thompson from Laidlaw College. Rod will be speaking at our chapel (11:15am) and I will be doing the same at Laidlaw. If you’re in the Auckland region do come along and give Rod a warm Carey welcome!

I was reading from 1 John 3 over the weekend, “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” What a great place for us as leaders to function from! When operating with an awareness of being a child of God we can come to a place of trust in Jesus for nourishment, care, nurture, and protection. May this be true of you this week!
