CAREY WEEKLY NEWSLETTER 2024 S2 WEEK 15

Kia kaha!

It’s the end of week 15—how did the semester go by SO quickly!?! Final lectures are take place on Monday. Due dates for assessments are coming up fast too. But, your diligent efforts this term at Carey are paying off, and we hope God has has molded, inspired, and refined you this semester.

These concluding weeks are pivotal, so stay the course, and finish strong!

Teaching team availability

Along with our normal support options, the teaching team will continue to be available to discuss (during regular office hours, Monday through Thursday) final assessments over email, phone, or Zoom even as they work from home starting 5 November.

The end (of semester) is near!

Time is ticking down, so remember that ALL assignments need to be in by 15 November. Late submissions will NOT be accepted, unless you have approval from Neroli.

If you need an extension, please talk to your teacher and Neroli, and complete an application for an extension.

Make-up Monday

You’ve heard of Make-up Monday coming up next week. It’s not about forgiveness or reconciliation, which are both great—so do that if you need to. But, it’s really just for those who have Monday lectures. Because of Labour Day this past week, we’ve got Monday lectures running in week 16, on 4 November. These will be the final, final lectures of the term, so soak it in!

The Library

Stop in the library or email student support for anything you need, whether you need help with your assessments or gathering resources. Also, they love to chat and encourage you, so that’s a great reason to stop by too!

Library hours

Monday to Thursday: 8.30am to 6.30pm
Friday: 9am to 5pm
Saturday: 10am to 12.30pm

Graduating or continuing study in 2025?

We’re sure you have loved your study this year, so if you are interested in continuing next year by starting another qualification, chat to Neroli!

If you are graduating, please be sure to complete the graduation form and hand it in to Neroli.

Community rhythms done for the year

What a great season of karakia we had this year, journeying through the epistles in our Mentored for Ministry series. We hope it was meaningful to you.
As a reminder, there is no more karakia for the remainder of the term, and community lunches are done too. The chapel will be empty on Tuesday mornings from here on out, but you are always welcome to go hang out.
