CAREY WEEKLY NEWSLETTER 2023 SEMESTER 1 WEEK 3

Pressing in and Getting Ahead

By now, you're getting the hang of the semester, getting to know your teachers and your classmates. Hopefully you are finding class discussions enriching and challenging, and that God is showing you new things about your faith and life.

Press in, ask questions, and embrace the kōrero. Find your rhythms, and maybe even get a jumpstart on some of your assessments. You'll be glad you did.

10 Essentials

Don't forget about the wonderfully helpful 10 Essentials on CareyOnline. They are curated for you to know what your teachers expect and how to achieve higher marks--not to mention learn! Check them out today!

Want to be a Peer Writing Assistant?

One of the support mechanisms we offer at Carey is a Peer Writing Assistants (PWAs) programme. If you are a second of third year student with strong academic writing, and a love for supporting other students, then being a PWA may be for you!

We are looking for three or four students to upskill in peer writing support. If you are interested in finding out more please email Rob Ayres (Academic Director).

Extensions

If you are worried about getting your assessments done in time and would like to request an extension, please contact Neroli Hollis, and complete an Application for Extension form.
