Kia ora koutou,
The Government has announced the end to New Zealand’s traffic light system and most mask requirements. The Covid-19 traffic light system is no longer in effect, and masks will only be required in healthcare and aged care settings. Only Covid-19 positive individuals will have to isolate for seven days, and there are no longer isolation requirements for household contacts. All vaccine mandates will come to an end on 26 September.
At Carey we will not be requiring mask-wearing any longer, though, of course, you are welcome to wear a mask if you prefer. We will continue to encourage good ventilation in classrooms and other spaces. As a reminder, please stay home if you are sick. If you have any questions please contact Rob Ayres.
