Kia ora koutou. Yesterday (Monday) afternoon the Prime Minister confirmed that Auckland will move to Alert Level 1 from 11:59pm on Wednesday 7October. This removes most of the restrictions of recent weeks, including physical distancing and limited group sizes. It means that all teaching and learning AND community life activities will resume on campus from Monday 12 October. This includes classes, formation groups, community lunches and Chapel.

The Government has confirmed that, under Alert Level 1, physical distancing is not required, and it is no longer a requirement to wear face masks on public transport. However, please feel free to wear a face mask on campus and in classes if this provides you with an additional level of comfort.

Detailed attendance records are no longer required, and you do not need to sign in at Reception from Thursday 8 October onwards. You are encouraged to keep track of where you have been by continuing to use the QR code posters for the NZ Covid Tracer App on display at building entrances.

Please continue to practise good hand hygiene, stay home if you are unwell, and if you have cold and flu symptoms contact your doctor or Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for advice.
