Semester One 2017 is now starting. We have been praying for you, and we are excited about what God has in store for you through and beyond your study with us.
Time to fill you in on some information that – hopefully – will be helpful as you settle down to study. The Handbooks noted (below) are all available through Carey Online – click on the link in the toolbar on the left and download for future reference!
2017 Student Handbook (for new students)
This is specifically for new students to Carey. In this handbook you will
find general information about the college, key contact points, expectations
around studying, and assessment submission.
Please log on to Carey Online for all of your course information and materials. All course materials should be found through your pages on Carey Online.
2017 Community Formation Handbook
Community is important to us at Carey. We want all of our students to feel
part of our wider Carey Community, so our Formation Handbook gives details of
all community events for Semester One. If you are a distance student, if you
have an opportunity to join us on-site for a class or any of the special
events, or “after dinner mint” speakers, you are most welcome. We
would love to see you!
2017 Library Guide
This guide will provide you with some good information about various aspects of
our library system and the numerous databases that you have access to as a
student.
10 Essentials for Assignments
These 10 Essentials for Assignments are designed to give you some practical
help in your study. They will provide you with useful guidance on approaching
theological study, using your time wisely, researching and writing assignments
and a number of other helpful study skills that a student needs to do well at
Carey.
Read these essentials carefully and refer to them often. You will find that they are a useful companion as you immerse yourself in your Carey studies.
So, welcome again, and we hope that the information we’ve provided is useful to you. However, if at any point you have any questions about anything to do with you being a student here at Carey, please don’t hesitate to contact us via the toll free number (0800 773 776) or make contact with Neroli Hollis (registrar@carey.ac.nz) or me (alison.hobbs@carey.ac.nz) via email and we can direct you to the best person for your query.
Thanks for being a part of Carey, and we look forward to sharing this journey with you!
