We are looking forward to welcoming students to campus in-person next week. Please note that not ALL classes can be held onsite, see below for which courses are starting online this semester due to teacher availability. There are several key items you need to be aware of if you are planning to be on campus.

Semester One Classes
Please note that most classes are being facilitated onsite as normal (students can also join live via Zoom). However, some classes are not able to be onsite and are online-only. The following classes are online-only for at least the first six weeks of semester (to be reviewed mid-semester):

Introduction to the New Testament (Monday 1:30 pm online)
Introduction to Pastoral Care (Tuesday 1:30 pm online)
Gospels: John (Tuesday 1:30 pm online)
Poverty Transformation and the Gospel (Tuesday 6:30 pm online)
Pentateuch (Wednesday 1:30 pm online all semester)

Check your CareyOnline course for more information.

Vaccine Passes
As you are well aware, we remain under the red light setting of the Government's COVID-19 Protection Framework. By Government mandate, everyone on campus must be fully vaccinated and have a COVID-19 vaccination certification pass, My Vaccine Pass. When you first arrive on campus, you will be required to register your vaccine pass at reception. This is only required the first time, once registered you will NOT need to present your pass every time you come to campus (just sign in). A staff member will be able to assist you when you arrive.

Other Health Measures

Mask-wearing in teaching spaces is required, and strongly encouraged in confined/public spaces. Sign-ins on the Vistab tablets at Reception and use of the NZ COVID Tracer app are necessary for contact tracing purposes. Arrangements for one-metre distancing have been made wherever possible, including classrooms and other campus buildings.

As a reminder, DO NOT come to campus if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.

ID Cards
Each student will be issued a student ID for getting into various buildings on campus and checking out books in the Library. You will be able to pick up your student ID at Reception.

Class Bubbles
Please treat your class as a "bubble," and do your best to stay in your class bubble for your time on campus. We understand some students have multiple classes in a day, but we encourage you to be prudent as you engage other students.

Lunch
Community lunch will only take place on Mondays at 12.15pm, and you will need to register for a boxed lunch each week. We also encourage you to eat outside or remain in your class bubbles.

Lunch for Monday, 7 March has already been organised, and we have made efforts to cater to most dietary needs. You can register for week 2 lunch now (LINK https://forms.office.com/r/ER4gwScBfr), and you will be able to find the registration link for future lunches in the Carey Weekly newsletter on CareyOnline. All orders will need to be submitted by 10am on the Thursday prior.

Tuesday Karakia/Chapel
Our chapel gatherings have been modified for at least the first six weeks of the semester. They will continue to take place on Tuesday mornings at 11.15am and run for approximately 25 minutes. There will be a mix of pre-recorded material and live content, and will be delivered via Zoom to students and staff. You will be able to gather in class bubbles/formation groups onsite. We look forward to you joining with us!

We cannot wait to see you on campus very soon!
